Listen and Learn
We discuss your child’s concern, health history, activities and goals. Parents stay involved, and older children are encouraged to ask questions.
JP Chiropractic provides calm, age-appropriate chiropractic evaluations for infants, children and teens. Dr. Jason Pero and Dr. Chris Cole adapt every examination and technique to your child’s size, comfort and individual needs.

Children’s bodies change quickly as they grow, learn new movements, play sports, carry backpacks and spend time at desks and devices. Pediatric chiropractic is not adult chiropractic performed on a smaller patient.

The evaluation may include posture, comfortable movement, joint mobility, muscle function and orthopedic or neurologic screening when appropriate.
If chiropractic care is appropriate, we explain the technique, expected goals and alternatives before beginning. Referral is recommended when needed.
The nervous system helps coordinate sensation, movement, muscle tone and automatic functions such as temperature regulation. When appropriate, an examination may include the INSiGHT Millennium neuroTHERMAL scan.
The non-invasive scan uses infrared sensors to record skin-temperature patterns along the spine without radiation. It can provide an additional objective data point but does not diagnose an ear infection, colic, torticollis or another disease by itself.
Care is selected only after an examination and discussion with the parent or guardian. Options may include an Activator instrument, which delivers a quick and controlled low-force impulse, or sustained contact, which uses very light, steady pressure at a selected area.
No forceful adult-style adjustment is required. The doctor explains the approach and stops if the child is uncomfortable.
Yes. The amount of force and the technique are adapted to the child’s age, size, development, examination findings and comfort. Care is discussed with the parent first.
Yes. A parent or legal guardian remains involved in the visit and provides consent for care.
Yes. We evaluate infants, children and teens when the concern is appropriate for chiropractic assessment. Recommendations differ by age and clinical findings.
Urgent, unexplained, systemic or potentially serious symptoms should be evaluated medically. Chiropractic care does not replace well-child visits, acute medical care or specialist treatment.
