Hip Pain Chiropractic Care in Charleston, SC

Hip discomfort can affect walking, exercise, sleep, and the way the lower back and pelvis move. At JP Chiropractic, we evaluate the hip together with the pelvis, spine, muscles, and movement patterns that may be contributing to pain.

Common Symptoms We Evaluate

How JP Chiropractic May Help

After a focused examination, your plan may include chiropractic care, mobility work, exercise therapy, and soft-tissue techniques. Our goal is to improve comfortable movement and address relevant mechanical factors while recognizing when imaging or medical referral may be needed.

A Personalized Plan in West Ashley

No two patients are exactly alike. Dr. Jason Pero and Dr. Chris Cole take time to listen, explain the examination findings, and recommend a practical plan built around your goals. Our office is located at 1012 Physicians Dr, Suite 102, Charleston, SC 29414.

A Movement-Based Hip Pain Evaluation

Hip discomfort may be felt at the front of the joint, along the outside of the hip, in the gluteal region, or as pain referred from the lower back. Symptoms can follow a change in exercise, prolonged sitting, repetitive work, a fall, or gradual changes in strength and mobility. At JP Chiropractic, we examine how the hip, pelvis, lower back, knee, and ankle work together before recommending care.

The evaluation may include walking, balance, range of motion, strength, and orthopedic or neurological screening. When conservative care is appropriate, the plan may combine joint or soft-tissue techniques, mobility work, activity modification, and progressive exercise. Recommendations are adjusted for the patient’s work, sport, age, and goals.

Know When Another Evaluation Is Needed

Inability to bear weight, severe pain after a fall, visible deformity, fever, a hot or swollen joint, unexplained night pain, or progressive weakness requires timely medical attention. We refer for imaging or specialty evaluation when indicated. Learn about the conditions we evaluate or contact our West Ashley clinic.
